Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Line MindMap V2.1 (the “App”), developed by Muhammad Hamza Mubarak, handles information when you use the App, including when you connect the App to Google Drive.
1. Information the App accesses
When you sign in with Google, the App requests limited Google account and Google Drive access. Depending on the Google permissions you grant, the App may access:
- Basic Google account information: your Google account email address and basic profile information supplied by Google. The App may use your name and profile image to display your signed-in identity in the interface.
- Google Drive files managed by the App: the App uses the Google Drive API to create and update Line MindMap files and related image files, and to open files when you explicitly choose to open them through the App or through supported Google Drive integrations.
- Drive organization information: the App may create or use a folder named “Line MindMap” and an “Images” subfolder in your Google Drive to organize App-managed content.
The App does not request access to unrelated files in your Google Drive for general browsing. Its Drive functionality is designed around files the App creates or files you explicitly open with the App.
2. How Google user data is used
Google user data is used only to provide and improve user-facing functionality of Line MindMap, including:
- authenticating your Google account and maintaining your signed-in session in the browser;
- displaying limited account information so you can recognize the account currently connected;
- saving your mind maps and related images to your Google Drive;
- loading and updating mind maps that you create or explicitly open with the App;
- supporting Google Drive launch actions such as creating a new mind map from Google Drive and opening a selected Line MindMap file with the App.
3. Data stored in your browser
Line MindMap can store mind-map content in your browser’s local storage so that you can continue working locally and so that locally cached content can be restored. The App may also store the email address associated with the connected Google account in browser storage to remember the signed-in account label. Browser-local data remains on your device unless you clear the site’s stored data or otherwise remove it through your browser.
4. Google Drive storage
When you use the Google Drive features, mind-map JSON files are stored in your Google Drive. Images used in a mind map may be uploaded to the App-managed “Images” folder in your Google Drive. The App does not claim ownership of your Drive content.
Your Google Drive account remains under your control. You can use Google Drive’s normal file-management tools to view, move, rename, or delete files created by Line MindMap.
5. Sharing and disclosure
Line MindMap does not sell, rent, or trade Google user data. The App does not disclose Google user data to advertisers or data brokers and does not use Google user data for targeted advertising.
Google user data is transmitted to Google services when necessary to authenticate your account and use the Google APIs requested by the App. The App does not operate a separate developer server that stores your Google OAuth access token or your Google Drive files. Access tokens are handled in the browser and sent to Google APIs as required for the requested operation.
The developer may receive information you voluntarily provide when you contact support, such as the content of a support message and any information you choose to include. Such information is used only to respond to your request and maintain the App.
6. Security
The App uses HTTPS when communicating with the hosted application and uses Google’s OAuth authorization flow for Google account access. Google API requests are made using access tokens supplied by Google. The developer does not ask you for your Google password.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should keep your Google account secure and use Google’s account-security controls where appropriate.
7. Data retention and deletion
The App does not maintain a developer-controlled database containing your mind-map files. Mind maps saved through Google Drive remain in your Google Drive until you delete or manage them there. Browser-local copies remain until they are cleared from the browser or otherwise removed.
You can delete App-managed Drive files directly from Google Drive. You can clear Line MindMap’s browser storage using your browser’s site-data controls. When you sign out, the App removes the active access token from its in-memory application state; previously stored browser-local data is not automatically deleted unless you clear it.
For support relating to privacy or deletion requests concerning information you voluntarily provide to the developer, contact the developer through the project’s support channel listed below.
8. Third-party services
Line MindMap uses Google services, including Google Sign-In/OAuth and the Google Drive API, to provide its Google-connected features. Google’s own privacy practices and terms also apply to your use of Google services.
9. Children
Line MindMap is not directed specifically to children under the age of 13. The App does not knowingly request personal information from children for separate advertising or profiling purposes.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the App’s data practices change or when needed for legal, security, or operational reasons. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made. The App will not use Google user data for purposes inconsistent with the disclosures in this policy.
